Another White Adventure

It appears that the Smith family has taken to the snow like a duck takes to water. The novelty hasn't warn off (yet!) as this week we were told about a sledding hill just 2 miles from our home. Who could resist snow, a rented tube for $5 and a fireplace warmed waiting room lined with windows for the mama to hang out it? We couldn't turn this one down.
It was quite a big hill by Iowa standards, free to play on and plenty of white stuff. We rented our tube and off they went. It only took 6 or 7 times and all three were worn out...(don't they know about chair lifts around here? Wait...they don't do hills.)
Saturday morning's adventures looked a bit like this....
"This is why people have children when they are young!" This was the first thing he said upon pulling them back in. ha!

The kids had a fun time trying to get out of the tube. Fortunately it was big enough for all 3 to ride down the hill on each time so no one was left out. (You know you like the snow on the little man's head. Looks like a face plant to me!)

Ahhh....our littlest little in his nest. We've decided he could pass for a little Russian baby, No?
It's amazing how much fun a pile of frozen water can be.
Go Sissy, GO!

Oops, sorry Sister. Not really!
So it appears that the jolly old man dressed in red will need to pack a few sleds in his big sack this year. On our way home from the sledding hill, as we pulled back into our neighborhood, we saw a dad on a mountain bike towing his two small girls on sleds. So guess what Husband...you may need a mountain bike for Christmas. (j/k!)

Until then, we are anticipating more of the fluffy white stuff tonight and tomorrow. Not nearly as much, but I'm sure enough to warrant some snow blower action. We've had a 4 day break...that's long enough, right?

I love the red cheeks! We are off to the snow next week (I like to visit it, not live in it...LOL). Happy they are enjoying themselves so much. Sleds are a must!
